This review covers the pros and cons of MonkeyPlayr, a tool that I have purchased and use on a regular basis in my own online marketing program.

MonkeyPlayr provides a practical method to organize and control all of your videos and it has some features that are very useful for online marketer such as having the ability to add in calls to actions, countdown timers, etc. .

WHAT IS MONKEYPLAYR?

This is a video player that will allow you to have a lot of the features of the much more expensive players that are available on the market at either a high cost up front or that have monthly fees to gain access to the features.

It represents a very reasonable way to get such features at a low one time cost, and for the money, the tool is surprisingly effective and useful. I al always on the lookout for such tools that every marketer needs and uses.

It works for any video, not just yours. This means that you can use many of the free to use videos that you find on YouTube in your marketing efforts.

Who Are The Developers?

As a bit of background, this is the latest tool in the ever-growing set of tools found in the Monkey brand line of tools that online marketers can use in their day to day online marketing activitiy.

All of them try to add a lot of value for the cost, and generally they are offered at a one time cost at the launch, and some become a monthly or annual subscriptions tool.

This latest one is called MonkeyPlayr, and it was designed by Internet Marketers who know what it is that we need to conduct our business most effectively. They also look out for costs, knowing that there are many marketers that have a limited budget.

That was the basis for the development of this tool, and I have to say I am very imopressed with what they have put together. I was so impressed in fact, that I bought a copy myself to use it prior to writing this review.

It has passed every test I have put it through to now, and that with flying colors. For the marketer that is looking for a tool that does what this does without having to pay a huge amount up front or a monthly fee, this is it.

What is it that we need as a marketer in a player? Youtube of course is a free way to store and display your videos, but there is a lot that comes with that “free.”

The site is essential to get the interest, the views, and the rankings you need to help your organic traffic numbers, and branding and authority can also be aided, but…

There are some reasons that external players have been developed and are in use, just as external storage sites like Amazon S3, Vimeo, etc. can be used in lieu of Youtube to publish and store your creations.

We need to have the flexibility to add some features that Youtube simply does not provide. Here are some of the ones that come with the basic front end package for MonkeyPlayr:

(1) Start and Stop Timer. You can set the videos played to start and stop anywhere you need to. This means that you can cut out unwanted portions of any video, not just your own.

(2) Autoplay Videos. You can set the videos to autoplay the videos that you play through the player. This is helpful in some cases, although you will not always need the feature. It is nice to have this option if needed.

(3) Unbranded Player. You do not have to have a player that shows the brand of the developer – this looks more professional and looks nicer on the page you use the player on…Whether a video sales letter, embedded in a post, or a review, this is better.

(4) Loop Your Videos. There are times when this option is desirable, i.e. if you are doing an advertisement in an offline client’s establishment. This can be turned on or off of course. Just nice to have the option, as with the other features you find in MonkeyPlayr.

(5) HTTPS and Forced HD. These are great options when you need security (as with payment pages) or when you want to have great looking videos using HD as opposed to lower definition videos.

(1) Set The Video Size. You can set the exact height and width of the videos and player.

(2) Playback Flexibility. You can set the video playback to be fully responsive for mobile viewing with no issues.

(3) Disable Unwanted Functions. You can disable dropdown boxes or video information boxes in videos you use MonkeyPlayr with.

(4)  Disable Annotations. You can disable all annotations (even ones set by the owner of the video).

(5) Disable Full Screen Playback and Controls. You can disable full screen playback and playback controls if desired.

Other considerations that are important to consider when you select a video player that you get with this player…

(1) This tool is compliant with ALL of Youtube’s terms and conditions of use.

(2) You can use this tool with all websites and WordPress blogs.

(3) Even if you have a paid player you use, this will save you some money. There are no additional costs!

(4) You get a lot of flexibility on how your videos are displayed and what is displayed compared to using just Youtube embeds.

(5) Using this tool, you will have central control over your video management, better than having to go to each individual site to make adjustments…This saves times and means you are more organized when it comes to video management.

Overall, for the price that you can get this tool at now represents a super value. Although this price will not stay so low, even at a higher price, it is a good value.

PROS AND CONS OF THIS TOOL

As with many of the product review posts you will find on this site, there are not many cons for this video tool either. That is because generally I only review the tools that I personally use and can vouch for.

There are exceptions, of course, but I do not want to waste reader’s time by writing a whole lot of reviews on scam products. You can get that elsewhere.  It is more important that you find the tools and services that WILL help your program and represent good value for the price.

Having said that, I do occasionally write reviews that point out the less than stellar results or offer that will only  disappoint you. This is not one, as you will note from my assessment and ratings. Some bad apples do creep in and I do review these as well at times, but not often.

The pros are many for this super reasonably priced tool (in the introductory phase of its launch. As I understand it, the price for MonkeyPlayr will go up to a monthly fee after the launch period is over, so I would recommend getting in during this initial period to save massive amounts of money over time for a tool that you will use often.

Remember this is only going to be available during the launch phase, and likely the charge will go monthly after the launch. As of now< i do not know when the price will go up, nor ny how much.

Comparatively, the additional features that you get with this upsell are worth a lot. Other similar video features cost a LOT more, and many providers are charging a monthly fee. You can save lots of money over time…
