INTRODUCTION

Clickbank is a site that allows sellers of a wide variety of products to have a means to list and sell them using the platform. It seems to have waned in importance as other similar sites have grown…

So the question is can someone still make money either selling their products through Clickbank or promoting the products being offered for sale on the site as an affiliate?

In doing research, the data I found on the subject is all a bit dated…Therefore I wanted to have a fresh look at the site, how to best use it, and yes, see if you can still make some quick money using the platform…

Let’s get started…

WHAT IS CLICKBANK

To provide an explanation for those that may not be familiar or who have not stayed up with the changes Clickbank has undergone, I have found an excellent video on Clickbank that will explain very clearly what Clickbank is all about in 2016…

[videoframes src=”” skin=”34″ controls=”1″ headline_text=”Clickbank in 2016….Watch this!” headline_color=”#000000″ headline_size=”22″]

If you watched the entire video training above, you now have a pretty good idea about Clickbank and its use in 2016. If you did NOT get through the entire video (it is a bit long), here are the main points about the platform:

(1) The platform is still alive and well…

(2) There are still many opportunities to make good money as an affiliate promoting products offered on the platform…

(3) Factors for consideration of worthiness of a product are important when selecting a product or products to promote…

(4) There are many approaches to selling the products, from a traditional blog review, a bridge page, or something in between…

(5) For getting traffic to the offers, consider a combination of organic and paid. This means focusing on SEO, keywords, design and etc. as you set up your campaigns…

(6) When you take care of the SEO portion, and the rest, it likely means that you have a page that will convert…Same goes for the ads you may create…

(7) There are some tricks and tips that will help you enjoy more success that you need to know or learn about to maximize your success…

So as you can see, YES you can make money still, and actually quite a bit if you work smartly…In the next section, we will go through the process of selecting and promoting Clickbank products…

SELECTING AND PROMOTING CLICKBANK PRODUCTS

Over and above the explanation found in the video above, I want to go through the process that I personally am using to find good products to promote and the sales tactics I am using to garner sales…

The first thing you must do is to find products that fit the profile that you are looking for. These bits and pieces of criteria you are looking for may mean the difference between making a very good commission and losing money (especially of you use PPC to get targeted traffic, as I recommend)…

Here are the top three things I look for:

(1) High Commissions…

A high commission product means that the developer realizes the value the affiliates bring in that they are doing all the work to get traffic to the offer. They also pay for that benefit by paying you well for your work…

(2) Recurring payments…

I like to look for products that have a recurring charge which means selling once is likely selling 3-4 times at a minimum if it is a good product…

(3) High Gravity…

This means that the product is selling well for affiliates. The higher the gravity the better. I know that many will say it is better to have less competition but think about this: The reason so many affiliates are going after the product to sell is because it sells! They are making money!

Other considerations…

(4) Support material for affiliates…

Look at what the developer has to support your marketing campaign…Is there a video on the sales page (a good thing)…How is the layout of the sales page (crap not good, clean and effective good)…

(5) Top sellers…

These are top sellers for a reason and are worth a closer look…If everything checks out these are more likely to be ones you want to work with and promote…

(6) Willingness the developer has to work with you regarding higher commissions based on your sales and activity…

These are just a few points, and over time you will develop your own set of standards…Start with these and you will be ahead of 80% of the marketers you are competing against…

HOW YOU CAN USE CLICKBANK TO MAKE QUICK MONEY ONLINE

Here is the bottom line on this platform, and the steps to follow…Above you found out how to find products that are worth promoting and creating a marketing and sales campaign around…

What is next?

Now you will discover how best to get the sales kick-started using PPC ads and a bridge page you create….

The focus using my strategy is NOT on building a lead list, not on creating an entire website supporting the sales, or anything more than one focus: Getting a sale, the next one, the next ten, and a hundred sales …

Here is what I recommend to do just that…

(1) Create effective ads that compel your targeted audience to take action and click on them…

(2) Create a simple “bridge page” as some say…This is a page that expands on the product or service and that has a strong call to action for targeted prospects that have clicked on your ad…

(3) Send them from that page directly to the sales page for the product…Sell them the product you are promoting…That is it!

By simplifying the process, you miss out on a HEAP of work that you would normally have to consider and focus only on a few things….

(1) SEO (limited amount required),

(2) Content (very simple messages in the ad and the bridge page),

(3) Tracking (only a few things to track), and

(4) Sales (you will see your sales skyrocket if this is all done properly)…

Let’s dig a bit deeper into this process…

(1) Item to promote. See above…

(2) Ads to create and use. Look at what the competition is doing, who is selling successfully. Emulate what they are doing…NOT copy, but make your ad closely resemble theirs…

(3) Bridge page development. It might be worth your time and even a few bucks to see what the competitions bridge pages look like…Same situation here…emulate but DO NOT COPY. EXACTLY..

(4) Where to advertise. The cheapest two places to advertise these days is Facebook and Bing. Another source that is cheaper is YouTube…Any of these platforms allow you to start small and scale up your ads as you test and see what works…

(5) How much to spend. I would start very small, say $5 a day, using Facebook boosted posts, and see what works…THEN move into other focus’ using Facebook, Bing, and YouTube at higher spends per day…

(6) Scaling up. Once you have something that is converting at a percentage that you are happy with, and you have tested it to the point you know it will remain at about that level, THEN scale up…

Use this process and you will find yourself having a few ads that are making you money every day. Yes, you spend money, but you make back more than you are spending…

The more you can spend on ads, the more you will make in sales and profits. It is really that simple…You can so this for any kind of product niche and quickly…No need to build up a blog site, create content, and do all the SEO and etc.

Here your focus is on effective ads and effective bridge pages and targeted audiences. Is this still work? You betcha, but it is a LOT less work…

So what happens when you start killing it with sales? This is a fun step…

(7) Renegotiating commission and payout as you grow/have success.

When you start making high volumes of sales, people within Clickbank are going to notice, and developers are as well.

You will build a track record (remember you can do this in ANY niche – it is finding the right product, getting an effective ad together, and a converting bridge page in place)…

That will bring you into a whole new world of a super affiliate. There you will be able to negotiate the higher commissions, faster payouts, and sweet deals that a regular affiliate cannot get…

Bottom Line…

(1) The information and guidance here should help you get started and even if you have tried Clickbank before and had little success…

(2) I urge you to try again using the method I describe above and see what it does for you…There is some training to get ads and bridge pages that convert that I am not going into here, but you get the idea and can get started with what you have…

(3) The only thing you have to lose are the commissions you are not getting now because you are not working the site and the products offered there!

CONCLUSION

Today we looked at a platform that was madly popular some years ago, but in more recent times has lost a bit of its luster for marketers and affiliate marketers.

This is likely due to the wide variety of products and the quality of some (lacking) plus the competition has been ramped up with other alternative platforms that developers have available, i.e. JVZoo, Zaaxxa, Warrior Plus, etc…

As I have shown, you now know that the Clickbank platform IS still a viable location from which you can both (1) sell your products and also (2) gain access to a large number of affiliates that are hungry to sell your products…

For affiliate marketers, the same holds true. It is definitely relevant and a good place to make money promoting and selling the products that have potential based on the criteria I mention in the tutorial.

Now that you have a good idea of the potential, the next thing is to get busy and take action to get started!

  1. Clickbank is definitely a good place to sell other people’s products. I like the idea of not having to create a traditional blog and still be able to make some money through them. Using Facebook and spending a little everyday to boost the posts is also a very attractive idea. I was steering clear of Clickbank a bit but now you have really picked at my curiosity to start looking into it again. Thanks so much for a great review!

    1. Hi Reyhana, Yes Clickbank has kind of a bad rep these days, but there are still massive online sales that are made through the platform. I believe it is more a matter of selecting the products that have potential and offer high value over the less than stellar products that are there…It kind of makes sense, you do not want to waste money on ads or waste contacts time trying to sell lousy products…You are more than welcome and please do stop in again, I post these quick money posts and lighter side posts regularly! Cheers! Dave : )

  2. This is some supreme information from a trusted source.
I have to admit, after all this time I have not tried Clickbank” but I am now re-thinking that, especially for one of my sites.
Really nice article Dave! The video is long, though.
I think I gained the most from your written information.

    1. Hi Kari, Thanks for stopping by…Yes that video is very long and I doubt that most people will watch the entire thing…That is why I decided to expand on the content in the text so people could cut to the chase…The Clickbank opportunity is defintely still there however, it is not dead as I had been led to believe not so long ago! Please stop by again, our door is always open and the lights remain on here for visitors! Cheers! Dave : )
